Full Schedule and Band Information

At the Canopy Club

18+, $3-$50 sliding scale

The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center (UC-IMC), in conjunction with The Canopy Club and The Paper, is celebrating three years of Indymedia in the twin cities with IMCfest at the Canopy Club on August 30th from 1pm-1am. This festival will be a fundraiser for the UC-IMC Capital Campaign. 100% of the money collected at the door will go directly to the IMC.

Maybe it's my dyslexia, but I have to look at "IMCfest" for a second before my mind sees it as other than "Incest".

Well if you charted the breeding habits of IMCstas that might not be such a weird slip to make. I'm consistantly agog at how romantically intertangled my fellow activists are. I'm so glad I've never slept with anyone from IMC.

(Though having eliminated both IMC and IMSA as sources of potential mates, the pool gets pretty thin...)

Well sure. I dated one of them for 6 months but it didn't work out, as you'll recall. I met her at a Reclaim the Streets event in Naperville, only after we started hanging out did I learn that she basically knew half the people I knew but through totally different social networks. She was a sort of recovering former activist who got too burned out by all the work.
