I've waited much to long to document my dreams today but I had a whole bunch of them last night. There was one that was all about driving around in these complex underground tunnels (like lower wacker combined with an under parking garage) and we were heading to an airport and we got to some kind of toll gate and they told us that to get through we had to get out of the car and walk our luggage over to a nearby high school gymnasium where we would have to get them scanned by a metal detector. This was some kind of ad hoc pre-airport security check point. But when we got to the school it was deserted.

There was another point when me and my family were somewhere in Europe and there was a lot of confusion about how to get from one place to another. There were some really surreal details to the ordeal involving water and rivers and airplanes and cars and sailing...it was a multi-modal transportation kind of dream.

At another point we were on the run from an evil train. Somehow we managed to trick the train into going on a track that led directly into a canal or lake or something. We thought it would be going so fast that it couldn't stop when it hit the dead end. But it stopped early for some reason. And we were at the deadend too on a sidewalk. I jumped down and put a bunch of pennies on the track because I'd never done that before. For some reason the train (which had it's engine on the far end away from the water, pushing rather than pulling...so the engineer couldn't see the water) started pulling forward again. When it went into the water it just kept pushing all the way into the water. The water was so deep that there was no shock to the train as it crashed into the water and the engineer had no idea that it was silently drowning the cars one by one. There was a pang of guilt among me and my family as we realized how much destruction (and possibly death?) we'd just caused...but the train was evil and we were just trying to get away...
